What Is Armor-Coat Window Hardware?

Armor-Coat is Stonebridge Ironmongery's protective finish for steel hardware. The current product specifications state that the finish has been independently tested to BS EN 1670:2007 Grade 5 for corrosion resistance.

The range is intended for applications where greater protection from weather exposure is required. Individual product listings should still be checked for dimensions, fitting requirements and suitability before ordering.

Armor-Coat Window Stays

Window Stays with Armor-Coat are available in Arundel, Curl and Padstow designs, with 200mm, 250mm and 300mm lengths currently offered across the range.

Armor-Coat Window Fasteners

Window Fasteners with Armor-Coat are available in matching Arundel, Curl and Padstow designs. Left- and right-handed versions are offered, so check the handing and fixing arrangement required for your window before ordering.

For casement windows fitted with a compatible Espagnolette mechanism, the range includes Espag Window Handles with Armor-Coat.

Straight and cranked versions are available across the range. Check handing, spindle size, fixing centres and compatibility with the existing window mechanism before selecting a replacement.

The collection also includes a Window Stay Lock with Armor-Coat, designed as an additional security fitting for compatible casement window stays.

Armor-Coat Hardware and Accoya Windows

The current Stonebridge product specifications state that Armor-Coat window fittings are compatible with Accoya timber. This can make the range useful where compatible window hardware is required for new Accoya joinery or replacement work.

Compatibility with the timber does not replace the need to check the dimensions, fixing positions and mechanical requirements of the individual window fitting.
